The Industry Session is a session dedicated to operators of companies in the Aesthetic Medicine sector that was moderated by the Agorà Legal Office.
It represented an opportunity for medical device companies to come into direct contact with the main players in the sector and to update themselves on the latest regulatory developments.
The following institutions intervened: Office 6 of the Ministry of Health with a speech on clinical investigations, from validation to authorization, Office 3 of the Ministry of Health on the CE certification of products with aesthetic purposes as medical devices pursuant to EU Reg. 2017/745 and Confindustria Dispositivi Medici which illustrated and commented on the implications and opportunities arising from the new regulations.
At the Agorà 2024 Congress, INTRODUCTION TO AESTHETIC MEDICINE FOR THE PHARMACIST: FUNDAMENTALS, APPROACHES AND INTERDISCIPLINARY COLLABORATION was presented, aimed at launching a new free FAD (Distance Learning) course aimed at pharmacists. The course will cover the fundamentals of aesthetic medicine, cosmetology, galenic preparations and the importance of collaboration between pharmacists and doctors.
The other two sessions reserved for pharmacists, “COMPLETE APPROACHES TO COSMETOLOGY: AESTHETIC TREATMENTS, INNOVATIONS AND SPECIFIC SKIN NEEDS” and “DERMOCOSMETIC THERAPY INTEGRATED WITH MEDICAL AESTHETIC TREATMENT”, explored skin problems and the integration between dermocosmetics and aesthetic treatments respectively.
