After the era of trend-driven augmentation, lips return to anatomy: at the Agorà Congress 2026 a session coordinated by Raffaella Sommariva rethinks lip aesthetics in the era of normalization.

The session addresses modern lip aesthetics, analysing functional anatomy, ageing patterns, and personalised treatment approaches. Anatomical principles, injection techniques, patient-specific planning, and gender-related differences are discussed, with a focus on anatomy-led practice as the guiding principle for achieving natural and balanced aesthetic outcomes.

The session is coordinated by Raffaella Sommariva. Chairman: Patrizia Piersini.

  • Steven Harris. Lip anatomy revisited: from trend-driven augmentation to anatomy-led practice

  • Andrea Alessandrini. Perioral aesthetic unit aging: a three-stage classification and integrated treatment approach

  • Hend Fayez. Personalised lip treatment: deep consultation, material selection and technique choice for facial and personality harmony
